foreach() error on line 72

I am attempting to configure SPIP, and I recieve the following error :

Fatal error : Call to unsupported or undefined function foreach() in inc_version.php3 on line 72

I did some searching in the forums, and found a thread, in French, that led me to try uncommenting the following line in htaccess.txt :

AddType x-mapp-php4 .php3

After uncommenting the line, I copied htaccess.txt over .htaccess. At this point, my results change : when I go to configure the site, I see the PHP code in my browser.

I’ve tried a couple of other things, one involving a file called mes_options.php3. Still, I am not meeting with success.

If anyone has a good suggestion, I’d be grateful for it.
